About E.J. Barnes

E.J. Barnes (Emma Barnes) has written scripts and fiction for adults and children. Mr Keynes’ Revolution and its sequel Mr Keynes’ Dance are her first adult novels. 

She studied economics at Cambridge University, home of the famous economist John Maynard Keynes, whose life inspired her novels. She is an experienced speaker.

She was born in Edinburgh and has also lived in Cambridge, London, Colorado and Leeds, Yorkshire.

E.J. Barnes was a panellist on biofiction at the 2022 International Virginia Woolf Conference (paper at 45 minutes).
